Hubbardton Forge was found by George Chandler and Reed Hampton, two young entrepreneurs and ambitious artists who set out to reinvent the age old
craft of hand-forging metal. In 1974 the two men set up shop in an old Vermont barn and one of the oldest, most world renown blacksmithing forges began.
By using such old fashioned tools such as anvils, trip hammers and other old world equipment, the two men were able to transform
raw metal into beautiful pieces of funcional art. With equisite designs and attention to detail, Hubbardton Forge has become one of the
most sought after brands in the industry.
The Hubbardton Forge of today is a large commercial 200 employee operation. This team of skilled craftsman create timeless lighting pieces know for
their beauty and artistry. From its humble beginnings in a Vermont barn to its transformation into one the most distinguished brands in the business,
